Are golf carts allowed at Windover?
Yes, electric golf carts are allowed at Windover. Your golf cart must have headlights for nighttime use.
Are there fire pits or grills at each campsite?
There are fire pits on all campsites. Firewood is sold at the Windover store. Guests are encouraged to exercise safety and follow all rules when building fires. Grills are not provided on regular campsites. However, all rentals come with a grill.
Do I have to buy a membership?
Yes, everyone who visits Windover, whether overnight or just for the day, must have a current membership. This is how we maintain the safe and private nature of our resort. A temporary membership, good for one visit per year, is available for $15. Annual membership is $25, good for one year from date of purchase, and allows for unlimited visits per year. Anyone who lives 300 miles or more from Windover can purchase a $10 annual membership.
Is clothing optional at Windover?
No, Windover is not a clothing-optional campground.
Is there a restaurant at the resort?
No, there is not a restaurant at the resort, however, there are several restaurants within a 10-mile drive of Windover.
Is there a convenience store in the area?
Windover has a camp store that stocks a range of everyday items such as groceries, snack foods, confectionery, soft drinks, bottled water, tobacco products, ice cream, ice, and microwaveable foods.
How many people can stay on one site?
Six people can stay on your site. Camping rates are for two people. Each additional guest is charged $10 per night. Membership required for all and not included in rates.
How many structures are allowed on a site?
Two sleeping structures are allowed on a site consisting of one RV and one tent or two tents. In addition, you may have a screen house/dining canopy.
Can I park my boat, boat trailer, or another kind of towable trailer at the resort?
Yes, there is space provided in the back parking lot.
How rustic is Windover?
Windover is a modern campground with 30 or 50 amp electrical hookups. Modern restrooms with showers and flush toilets are centrally located near our heated, newly renovated swimming pool. Windover has a clubhouse
adjacent to the camp store with a pool table, a variety of games, books, TV, video movies, and music. However, we do have as "rustic" as you wanna be sites and areas available.
Does Windover have rental cabins?
YES!!! Windover does have a rental cabin! The Dragonfly Rustic Cabin!! Please call for details. We also have several rental trailers ranging in price from $76 to $106 per night. Rental trailers sleep two to six persons depending on size. All rental trailers have heat and air conditioning, stoves, refrigerators, sink, coffee maker, toaster, bathrooms with toilet, sink, and shower, and BBQ grill.
Are pets allowed?
Friendly pets are always welcome at Windover. Restrictions do apply in our rental trailers and a deposit is required. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and you must clean up after them. Dogs cannot be allowed to bark incessantly bothering fellow campers, and quiet hours must be observed. If you leave the campground, you cannot leave your dog tied up unattended on your site. Pets are not allowed inside the Windover store, but they are allowed in the clubhouse with the exception of food events.
Are children allowed?
No, Windover is a membership resort for any woman 18 years of age and over.
Can friends visit me at Windover?
Yes, they can! Must have a current members, or purchase either an ($25) annual or ($15) temporary weekend/overnight membership, and purchase a $10-day pass (Restrictions apply for all memberships).
